How to take care of your New Mattress

Getting used to your New Mattress

Just like wearing new shoes or driving a new car, sleeping on a new mattress takes time to get used to. Usually it takes a few weeks for your new mattress to fully adapt to your body and for your body to adapt to the mattress.  As your mattress adjusts to you, your body may form slight impressions on the surface of your mattress. Impressions are normal and are a sign that the materials are doing their job.

Rotating Your Mattress

To ensure your mattress wears evenly over time, follow the rotation instructions included with your purchase. During the first three months after purchasing a new mattress, rotate it head to toe once every four weeks. After that, your mattress should be rotated four times per year (as directed in the manufacturer’s instructions). Your bed’s foundation should also be rotated once per year.  

Cleaning Your New Mattress

To keep your mattress clean, we sell a range of washable mattress protectors. A mattress protector is the easiest, most cost-effective way to protect your mattress. For additional cleaning, we recommend only vacuuming to remove dirt or buildup from your mattress. Do not use liquids to clean your mattress, as this may cause mold to form.

100 Night Comfort Guarantee

Some people adjust to a new mattress faster than others. We want to ensure that your body has enough time to adjust to your new mattress so we offer a 100 Night Comfort Guarantee on mattresses purchased directly from Christian’s Mattress Xpress.

How It Works
  1. Purchase a mattress protector at the time of your mattress purchase from a local Christian’s Mattress Xpress.
  2. Use our in-house delivery service. We will deliver your mattress and set it up in your home. Your 100 Night Comfort Guarantee begins at time of delivery.
  3. Sleep on your new mattress for at least 45 nights. If you are unhappy about the comfort of your mattress, you have until 100 days of delivery to exchange your mattress.
  4. For the exchange, you will receive a credit for the amount charged on your invoice for the mattress. That credit will be applied to your new mattress and you will be responsible for the difference in price should you select a product with a higher price. We do not refund any money if you switch to a mattress with a lower price. $100 re-delivery fee will be applied at time of re-selection.

100 Night Comfort Guarantee applies to non close-out mattresses purchased directly from Christian’s Mattress Xpress. Closeout mattresses, power bases (all models), foundations, bed frames, pillows, cushions, linens, and accessories do not qualify. The 100 Night Comfort offer is only valid for first-time purchases. All comfort exchanges are subject to our drivers’ inspections at the time of the exchange.Any odors (smoke, pets, food, etc.) soiling, or damage will void a comfort exchange.
